These videos are in a class by themselves. The
support George gives is a breath of fresh air.
His help didn't stop once I ordered the videos.
He's been there for me every step of the way.
You can feel that he is sincerely interested in
people being successful.
In this age of greed and corruption it's refreshing
to find someone who genuinely wants to help.
Sid from Montana
I'm impressed and I don't say that lightly.
These videos are a no nonsense approach.
If a person is willing to get their hands dirty and
follow George's lead - they'll soon have some sculptures to show to their
friends and family.
I couldn't be more pleased.
Eric
I have " Brazing with the Oxy/Ace Torch" and "Getting
Started with Metal Sculpture" and have enjoyed both very much.
Great techniques and tips and a real down to earth
presentation.
Looking forward to "Cattails".
John
I guess I'm a skeptic by nature. I put off
ordering the videos and now wish I had ordered them sooner.
But the good news is that I've had the video for a
couple of months now and I'm making metal sculpture.
I'm not quite ready to be selling what I've made, but
family and friends are impressed.
I've been intrigued with metal sculpture for years
and now because of your "step by step" approach I am actually doing it.
Really appreciate not just the videos but your email
support.

George, I have read just about every word on your
site and viewed most of your videos. You are doing folks like me a great
service. Now I know someone who had been there and can show me how.
Having your DVD's will be comforting.
There is something to be said about figuring out the answers by oneself,
but I prefer getting the answers and then spending my time practicing.
Bruce
I can't thank you enough for all your email
support. As I've mentioned I wasn't sure I could do this.
It seemed at first like there was so much to learn
that I didn't think I could get a handle on all of it.
Your, as you call it, "step by step, approach has
made it far more comfortable.
For years I've been seeing metal sculpture at art
fairs and always thought I would like to do that. Sorry I put it off
so long.
I get so much satisfaction when I finish a piece.
I've never felt that I had any creativity ability.
Now, I'm not only doing the pieces in the videos but have branched out on
some of my own ideas.
Can't wait till retirement so I can spend more time
in my shop.

I am a metal sculptor. Most of my art education has
been in the form of class room work which focused on tools and techniques
but little on creativity. Because of this I didn’t believe that learning
from a video would be very productive.
Recently a friend loaned me a video he thought I
would be interested in. I wasn’t to say the least very excited. This video
was Mr. George Goehl’s “Brazing with the oxy/ace torch.” In the past most
of my work was welded or soldered. I knew what brazing was but didn’t see
much use for it in my work. After reviewing this video I went right out
and purchased a copy for myself.
The production of the video was well thought out,
clear and concise. Mr. Goehl presents the material in a way that makes it
understandable and makes one think about their own creative work beyond
the material presented in the video.
This video has expanded my current work, helped my
sales and given me more tools and ideas for future work.
I expect to be checking out more of Mr. Goehl’s
videos in the near future.
Ron Newton
Thank you. I decided before I started that a lot of
practice is the key and it is starting to pay off.
The videos really helped correct some of my
learned errors. I am still going through the phase of using the proper
tip.
I have been using all sizes of steel. Other things
you helped me get a leg
up on; brazing dissimilar sizes, my flame was too oxy and loud, less flux.
For years I’ve wanted to do metal sculpture and now I
am doing it.
Thanks for the great videos and the online support.
It’s obvious that you want your students to succeed.
Will be in touch and send you some photos of my
sculptures.

Getting
Started With Metal Sculpture
This DVD begins with the basic tools you will need
to get started doing metal sculpture, the idea being to not spend too much
time or money on tooling. It also includes designs to make some of your
own tools.
George goes through the situations that he uses each
of the tools and tells you if a tool is used often with his work or not.
He progresses to more specialized and expensive
tooling through the DVD, but often gives less expensive alternatives.
George takes you on a tour of his tools giving you
the knowledge of what he uses to create sculpture without the necessity of
trial and error when you are selecting tools.
This DVD shows how few tools you need to get started
while letting you know about the possible tools for more advanced or
varied work.
Also included are tips on how to source different
types of metals, and what styles of store to go to for different tools.
If you are new to metal work, or starting on a new
direction with your craft, there are ideas here that will save you time or
unnecessary expense.
George’s style is informative and easy to
understand.

Something that I haven't seen mentioned in the
reviews is the "realness" of these videos.
Today everything is Photoshopped, programmed, special
effects or orchestrated but these are the real deal. Dirty hands and all.
There is no attempt to mask over anything.
What's going on here is George showing how he does the steps to get to the
final result.
I find these videos refreshingly honest.
Just like others, I've begun to turn out some good
sculptures based on these videos.
But I also find myself watching the videos for the
pure enjoyment of seeing George go about his work.

COPPER BUTTERFLIES
I have purchased many
of George’s videos in the past and have always greatly enjoyed and
profited from them. They are always very well done with loads of helpful
information and techniques.
Making Copper Butterflies is my latest purchase and
is just another one of George’s excellent videos. His step-by-step
procedures cover all aspects of the process, from cutting out the
butterflies to the very important process of finishing them. His
instructions are easy to follow and will allow you to create great looking
butterflies. Using simple hand tools you will be able to make beautiful
copper butterflies that you can enjoy in many surroundings. You may also
want to sell them as I do.
George covers not just one but several different
types of butterflies that you can make. He also discussed how to make
dragonflies. Along the way you will be learning techniques that you can
use in other types of sculptures. I have created many other sculptures
using the techniques that I learned in George’s videos.
These butterflies have
been great sellers for me. Just recently I was asked to bring my
butterflies to a butterfly release day at a Hospice center. People loved
our butterflies and we had a great sales day.
With your purchase of a
George Goehl video you not only get a great Sculpture making experience
but you also get personal help from George himself. I have always found
George very accessible both by e-mail or phone. Every time I have had a
question or problem he couldn’t do enough to help me.

George, can't believe how much email support you've given me.Generally
when I buy a "how to" book or video that's the end of it. I'm on my
own.
It's rather obvious that you want to people to be able to do what you
do and you'll go the extra mile to help them.
Thanks again, Pete
I’m a hobbyist with no intention of making a living doing metal sculpture.
This is going to be a fun part of my retirement.
But, when people in the office found out what I was
doing they wanted to see what I was working on.
When the first person approached me and wanted to buy
one of the pieces for a wedding present I thought “why not”.
That started something and I have been selling
additional pieces.
Turned out not to be such a bad idea as I’m using
this extra money for more tools and equipment.
I seriously doubt that I would have been able to
accomplish this if it had not been for George’s videos. They’ve taken me,
as George says, “step by step”..
I’m anxious to acquire the whole set of his videos.
These “Small Sculptures That Sell” are really fun to
do and they can be done quickly.
Genuinely rewarding to spend a few hours at a hobby
and make something that someone wants to buy.
Karl Perkins
George, thanks so much for this video. This reminds me of the golf video.
Lots of techniques. I've already started using some of these new
techniques in other pieces.
You're right, this opens up a whole new set of ideas for me.
Have got my application out to a number of spring shows and these
pieces are some that I will be featuring.
By doing some of these smaller pieces I will be able to attract the low
dollar buyer.
Plus, these are just so satisfying. They don't take long and bingo, I
have a finished sculpture.
Looking forward to what you are going to do next.
Jim
George is right, these golf pieces aren’t easy. I
thought about giving up several times.
Sure glad I didn’t
I’ve been using these golf pieces on other
sculptures.
There is just so much in this video. I’ve found the
“techniques” as George calls them, can be used in completely unrelated
pieces.
I’ve been doing the Sit and Sip with the golf bag.
Smaller bag but the same principle.
I’m surprised at how much I can do with a piece of
copper tubing and some scraps of copper.
Now that I have these golf pieces down, plus the
butterflies, wands and the sit and sip I’m ready for more videos

Maple Leaf Sculptures
I must admit when I first learned of Mr. Goehl’s
video’s I was somewhat skeptical. I didn’t believe anyone could make a
video that could reach the creativity in each of us.
This video not only gives you the tools and
techniques for making maple leaves but it also gives you ideas that go
beyond the basics.
I now own several of Mr. Goehl’s videos and with each
new purchase I find they expand my creative horizons.
My most recent purchase was “Maple leaf sculptures.”
This video as in all the others Mr. Goehl presents the material in a very
understandable style. His use of verbal instruction combined with various
camera angles insures ease of learning.
I sell my work through a small gallery and was
finding my sales in a slump. After starting to introduce new material I
gleaned from the use of Mr. Goehl’s videos my sales are back up.
If you are considering working in metal sculpture or
are already a metal sculptor I highly recommend any of Mr. George Goehl’s
many metal sculpture videos. They are for the beginner and seasoned pro
alike.
Hi George
Thanks for sharing your experience and talent by the
way of your videos on how to make, assemble, and market the finished Item.
I know of no other product that is this complete.
I was surfing the web looking for ideas and things
that I could make and sell now that I am retired, and when I came across
your site I was hooked.
My problem was trying to decide which video to start
with. I watched the video previews for about a week. I decided to start
with the Items that I would buy if I was looking for art, and that was the
High Wheel and Table Top bikes.
Although I thought the HighWheel would be the most
challenging to make. By following the video it was for the most part
easier then I anticipated, and when it was finished the most rewarding.
The Table Top Bikes are easier to make, and the
reaction of the people who see and buy them is just as great.
Took the Highwheel to The Art Galore where I show my
work to see if it will sell. The owner of the galore said he has never
seen the excitement that these items generate when placed in the showroom
window. A real draw for them and real rewords for me.
I recommend these videos to anyone whether they are
novice or experienced. If they follow the videos and the priceless
information that you provide on how to market the product, which I think
is worth far more then the videos cost they won’t be disappointed.
Thanks again George for providing me with something
that I can do and enjoy so much rather then something I have to do to help
in affording retirement.

I bought the video " Trees" because I realized how very versatile this
concept can be. George's teaching method makes it easy to adapt his
techniques to a lot of different scenes.
I did some "freeze frames", printed them out and took them to the
shop. That gave me great reference material in the shop.
The video has such clear, easy to understand information that I really
like this technique.
My intent is to make gifts for family and friends. It is often hard to
think of something the average person doesn't already have so I have found
a way to make gifts that will be unique.
George's videos make it possible to benefit from his years of
experience. Learning this way saves a lot of time and avoids costly
mistakes. George already found a better way. And the jigs he shows us
how to make are real time savers.
I needed a little advice in regards to a tool and George responded
quickly and solved my problem.
I am definitely buying more of these videos!

Ride in the Park and The Sit & Sip is one of my favorite George Goehl
videos. The interest and dimension included in these two pieces is
amazing. People walking by, will always stop and take a closer look,
commenting on the detail in these sculptures.
This video along with The Small Table top Bicycles and Trees, Trees,
Trees will add many skills to your repertoire.
George is through in explaining each and every aspect of these wall
sculptures.
These sculptures sell! I received a check the other day for a Sit & Sip, a
dogwood plant stake, another Ride in the Park and several other pieces.
My partner Deb and I have been making and selling stained glass pieces
for many years and wanted to add something else to our line.
I am a certified welder so, when we decided to add metal sculpture I
was excited. I might add, it has really paid off. Ride in the Park and The
Sit & sip have been two of our best sellers.
George is a top notch artist/craftsman and his videos are
the best I've seen anywhere.

MAGIC WANDS
“Making magic wands” is
a great video. I must confess, however, that when I first saw the magic
wand video advertised I wasn’t very interested. I thought, “Who would buy
a metal bubble blower?” But my wife thought they were fun and they would
be great sellers. Her persistence convinced me to give it a try and,
though I hate to admit it, she was right. Magic wands are now a staple for
our business. They sell great at craft and art shows, especially during
the summer and at holidays. People buy them not just for blowing bubbles
but also for other uses such as wall hanging sculptures or plant accents.
We have also sold them for use at weddings and baby showers.
Making the wands is
actually a lot of fun. The main ingredient is copper wire that you can buy
at hardware stores, and brazing rod available at any welding store. You
need only a few hand tools and an oxygen/acetylene torch to create these
beautiful sculptures.
George’s teaching style
incorporates a step-by-step process that combines verbal explanation along
with video demonstration to make every phase of the process understandable
and fun. His use of close ups in his videos really helped me to understand
exactly how each process was undertaken and how the wand should look at
each of the different stages.
George includes with
his video fifty different designs that you can duplicate. But there are
hundreds of different designs that you can make. After making a few of
George’s designs you will be amazed at how quickly you can come up with
your own designs.
And, as is the case in
all of his videos “Making Magic Wands” will improve your metal working
skills giving you the ability to design and create new sculptures of your
own. When you buy a George Goehl video you don’t just get a how to video
on making a particular sculpture. On your first purchase you will be
getting the first in series of educational lessons aimed at improving your
metalworking skills, increasing your repertoire of techniques, and
expanding your creativity.
