Making Copper & Brass Maple Leaf Sculptures
is
another in the series of designs that are versatile in terms of size and
complexity.

You can do
single leaves, small sprays or large sprays.
Material and tools are rather basic.

Once you have the fundamentals down, you can transfer these
techniques to any of the other broad leaves, such as sassafras, oak etc.

By mixing copper and brass you have the properties
of fall colors. Bringing out the colors inherent in copper (reds, greens
and blues) is accomplished by flame coloring.

To cut out the copper maple leaves I'll show you a
rather un-orthodox method for cutting copper into the preferred shape.
